Why a Finnish girl here in Tortona?! Jasmin participates in the European volunteering project #ErasmusPlus  “𝗦𝗧.𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗦!”  !!!

Here her presentation and why she came in Tortona:

“I am a 25 years old girl from Finland. I like Finland but I came to escape the Finnish winter, which is way too dark and long for me. 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝘆… So it took 25 years but I’m here now! I wanted to come to Italy because it is so beautiful, warm and people are social. I tend to laugh as hard as I like, talk a lot, drink a lot of coffee, sing in the shower and I like being social. I also love the sunny weather, pizza, pasta and wine. So I thought that I could fit in to this country.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. I have volunteered and contributed in a circus school for about three years. I train mostly 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 but I’m interested in many areas, like for example 𝗷𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴. Theatre came to my life in 2014 when I decided to try this basic acting course and since then it has been an important part of my life, I also studied it professionally for a year. Addition to that, theatre is fun, it is also 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. With the help of theatre a person is in touch with how you are and what you are. By acting something you don’t really get you are actually expanding yourself. I claim that 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲: climbing ropes, balancing with the ball or the string, juggling, and reveal you’re a perfect clown… However, still the best thing about circus is learning new skills.

I came to Tortona, to this project, because I am interested about using circus and theatre 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. I believe that 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱, maybe not the whole world, but somebody’s world. And I also wanted to see how is life somewhere else. I liked living in Helsinki but how do I know I don’t like living somewhere else if I don’t try? I also want to 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄, 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆, 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀.”

We are organising with Jasmin: non-formal english courses, theater workshops circus arts courses, international meeting discovering Finland… and much more  !!!!

𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗔 Jasmin
